The law regulates such things as information and consent, access to medical records, privacy and confidentiality, blood transfusions, organ transplants, complaints etc. Recent legislation in respect of assisted dying now creates another interaction between law and health. The Health Complaints Act 2016 (Vic) provides a complaints process about health service provision and related matters.
